Blog Writer

My name is Christian Ayonote. I am a Year 13 student in Eton College (UK)
I cofounded Student Economic Voice, an online economics publication aimed for secondary/sixth form students in the UK. Currently we have 17 posts made by sixth form students and teachers from around the UK.
I currently produce content on my blog via SubStack which can be accessed by this link. The blog is titled Res Publica Review, and I biweekly review articles on both Classics and Economics. A recent article of mine is surrounding Ancient Nigerian Kingdoms, reviewing the Nri Kingdom. I contribute to my school’s diversity and classics publication, both as a Lead Editor. Additionally, I am the Editor-in-Chief of the Geography publication, overseeing its editorial trajectory.
In the future, I aim to pursue a future study in Economics or Classics, or explore a possibility of studying both as a double major.
In my free time, I enjoy my activities/hobbies. I enjoy playing sports, specifically football, and I enjoy working out and going to the gym. Watching football is something that I love to do as well, my favourite football team is Chelsea Football Club, and I have supported them ever since I was young. I enjoy watching films and series. My favourite series is torn between two, Snowfall or Outer Banks, both of which I have watched countless times. My favourite film comes from the Avengers series, specifically Infinity War and Endgame. Music is something else that I enjoy listening to, specifically gospel music, as it is motivational for me and helps me go through everything in life with so much joy. Shutting out the world to listen to music is fulfilling to me. You can also catch me enjoying time with family and friends, going out and exploring different cities/places.
I would like to join the Study Edge as I have been able to use information from the StudyEdge to help me with US applications. I want to join the team because I am interested in helping other students with their own admissions processes, as well as ensuring fairness for all students to have access to the best materials available, in order for them to succeed. In addition, I want to join the team because I value collaboration and believe that working with others brings out the best in people. I wanted to take part in something that is bigger, and I enjoy the sense of purpose that comes from this contribution.
I am excited to collaborate with people on an international scale and very excited for the year ahead.
