Isla Hildebrand

Publishing Coordinator

Isla Hildebrand is a current junior at Stratford High School in the United States. She is incredibly excited to join The Study Edge this year as part of the Publishing & Platform Directors team!
She is a high-achieving individual who dedicates her time to her studies in mathematics, economics, and physics, as well as continuing to demonstrate a proper commitment to those around her. She has won an award for a 2025 Invited Scholar recognition from the National Youth Leadership Forum for both National Security and Medicine/Healthcare. She has also received multiple invitations to join the National Student Leadership Conference and attend summer programs at the top-ranked universities around the world. Isla is an active member of her school's Speech & Debate team, in which her speeches have allowed her to qualify for tournaments at Harvard, UT Austin, and many other prestigious schools. Alongside Speech & Debate, she also participates in her school’s Math, STEM, and tutoring clubs. Isla has also founded her own chapter of the EDSA club, where she speaks about mental health and student-based advocacy. Outside of school, Isla has founded The Economic Edge, a website that publishes weekly articles, breaking down the complex world of the global market and making it more digestible for her readers. She plans to earn her undergraduate degree as a double major in economics and applied mathematics, then later pursue her PhD in pure mathematics.

In her free time, Isla plays softball, is a counselor at a summer camp, and spends most of her days with her nose buried in a book or listening to music. Her favorite book currently is On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong, and her favorite music artists include Mac Miller, ASAP Rocky, and the 1975. However, she gives full credit to her dad for expanding her music versatility.

Isla joined TheStudyEdge because she is in full support of their mission towards ensuring equitable access to quality education. Knowledge is power, in her opinion, and no student should be withheld from their ability to discover the world around them. By contributing her dedication to her work, her motivation to learn, and her creativity towards creating accessible resources, Isla is determined to make the world around her a better place, one step at a time.
Isla is incredibly excited to be a part of TheStudyEdge’s Board of Directors this year and get to collaborate with such unique, successful individuals alongside her.
